The "Hotz Box" was created by Jimmy Hotz and deployed by Atari. It is a MIDI controller (a controller for synthesizers without own sound), but in connection with the "Hotz MIDI Translator Software" it was a very easy way to create music. Several versions of the controller were built, the "Hotz Box" was the biggest one.
Usage in Kitaro's music:
You can see it on the DVD An Enchanted Evening. In the beginning of "Mandala" Kitaro touches the blue controller pads and creates sounds.
