The Roland SH-3a is the successor of the SH-3, a not so often produced and sold synthesizer. Some people say the SH-3 has a better sound than the SH-3a. The SH-3a has 44 keys and is a funky member of the "SH series".
Usage in Kitaro's music:
In some booklets the SH-3 is mentioned, in others the SH-3a. Maybe Kitaro owns both or in some booklets the "a" (of SH-3a) dropped.
